Dove is one of my go-to drugstore haircare brands for its practical and affordable hair products.  So when I saw so many rave reviews on TikTok and other social media platforms, I decided to give it a try.

As for 3 years of damage, I can’t speak to that since I haven’t tried the rest of their Bond Strength line, but I’m very interested in trying these other products to see if they are as good as the mask is supposed to be.

First Impressions

While hair masks tend to be thicker and richer than traditional conditioners, Dove Bond Strength Serum Mask isn’t too thick, even though it is packaged in a tub (which I don’t love. I’d much prefer to dispense it from a tube since the texture is thin enough.)

It has a lightweight, creamy texture that spreads easily through my hair without feeling heavy or greasy.

The scent? Heaven. It’s a light floral that is so pretty and nicer than what I would have expected. The scent didn’t feel overpowering but left my hair smelling divine after rinsing.

One of my favorite things about this mask is that you only need to wait for 1 MINUTE before rinsing. (I love quick and easy!) I use it in place of my regular conditioner, although you can use it in addition to your conditioner if you prefer.

After rinsing, my hair felt super sleek and soft. Before I stepped out of the shower, I could tell that my hair would be easy to comb through.

After just one use, my hair felt noticeably smoother and easier to manage. It was also easier to detangle, which made styling quicker. My hair also looked super shiny and looked less frizzy after blow-drying.

My Results

After a few weeks of using Dove 10-in-1 Bond Strength Serum Mask a few times a week in place of my regular conditioner, I noticed that my hair looked shiny and felt soft. It also helped to tame frizz, which is something I struggle with, especially after heat styling.

My hair looks and feels healthier, and I love that it’s a vegan product that doesn’t sacrifice effectiveness. It’s quick and easy to use, making it perfect for a busy routine, and the results speak for themselves.
